ABOUT

TarantaCeltica unites the hypnotic rhythmic energy of Southern Italian Tarantella and the uplifting boldness of the Irish Tradition, to create an ecstatic high energy hybrid of passion and joy. Led by master percussionists Andrea Piccioni and Dave Boyd, an ensemble of world class multi-instrumentalists draw inspiration from the singing and dance music of Calabria, and the rich and textured repertoire of Irish jigs, reels, polkas and songs.
